Before anyone sends us a screenshot of the $89 hotel room they found in Vegas, let's explain the numbers.
For every destination, we're imagining a fairly normal two-night bachelorette weekend. Think shared accommodation, meals, drinks, one proper paid activity, local transportation and a little room for extras.
Flights aren't included. There's simply no useful way to compare airfare when one bridesmaid might be coming from Boston and another is flying in from Seattle.
We're also not assuming the group is staying in a five-star suite, booking a VIP table or hiring a private chef to arrive at 8am with personalized pancakes.
Could you spend less than our estimates? Absolutely.
Could you spend considerably more?
Bestie, it's a bachelorette party. Of course you could.
A quick reality check: Prices can swing a LOT depending on your dates. A normal weekend and a festival, holiday weekend or major sporting-event weekend can feel like two completely different destinations price-wise. Always check your actual dates before promising the group a budget.

1. Nashville, Tennessee
Let's get the obvious one out of the way.
Nashville has basically become bachelorette Disneyland.
You've got live music, honky-tonks, bars, brunch spots and enough organized bachelorette activities to fill a weekend without having to invent anything yourself. If the bride wants cowboy boots, line dancing, loud nights and a weekend where nobody has to wonder whether she's celebrating something, Nashville gets it.
Why Nashville Works So Well for Bigger Groups
A group of 10 or 12 women doesn't feel particularly unusual here, which is genuinely helpful. Restaurants, bars and activities are used to celebratory groups, and you can keep a lot of the weekend concentrated around the same general area.
That might sound like a tiny detail until you've tried coordinating three Ubers, a dinner reservation and 11 women who all interpreted “be downstairs at 7” differently.
The less transportation admin you have, the happier your maid of honor will be.
What a roughly $500 Nashville weekend could look like
You can bring that down by staying farther out, cooking or ordering in for one meal, or choosing free live music over filling the itinerary with paid activities.
You can also double it with impressive speed. Nashville will happily let you.
Choose Nashville if: your bride wants dancing, bars, music and unmistakable bachelorette energy.

2. Scottsdale, Arizona
If there are 14 of you, Scottsdale immediately becomes interesting.
The classic Scottsdale bachelorette formula is pretty simple: rent a great house, spend time by the pool, book a cute brunch, do one daytime activity, get ready together and head into Old Town.

A large rental can become part of the weekend rather than simply somewhere everyone sleeps.
That makes a huge difference when you've got a bigger group. Instead of paying for an organized activity every time you want everyone entertained, you can have a pool morning, play games, order lunch, put music on and actually spend time together.
There is also something very nice about being able to walk into the kitchen in your pajamas the morning after a big night and find eight other people silently eating leftover pizza.

Just Check the Weather Before You Fall in Love With the Villa
Arizona heat is not subtle.
The Scottsdale weekend you plan for one part of the year can look very different from the one you plan during peak heat. If half your itinerary involves wandering around outside in the afternoon, check the temperatures before everyone buys matching outfits.
Choose Scottsdale if: you've got a bigger group that wants sunshine, a pool, cute dinners and a proper night out.
Maybe skip it if: your bride wants a dense city where she can wander, sightsee and explore all weekend.
3. New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans might be our favorite value pick on the entire list.
Because you get a LOT of weekend for your money.
You can do great food, cocktails, live music, a ghost tour and a very questionable late night without needing to schedule six expensive “bachelorette experiences” just to make the weekend feel full.
Why New Orleans Scores So Well
The city already provides the entertainment.
You can wander through the French Quarter, find live music, stop for a drink, eat something excellent, change your mind about where you're going next and somehow still end up with a completely full Saturday.
That freedom is especially nice for a group trip because, despite what the itinerary spreadsheet says, somebody will be tired, somebody will take forever getting ready and somebody will suddenly decide she needs food immediately.
New Orleans gives you room to go with it.
And It Doesn't Feel Cookie-Cutter
This is one of the biggest reasons we like it.
Your weekend actually feels like New Orleans, rather than a bachelorette party that could have been dropped into any city with a brunch place and a pink Airbnb.
Choose New Orleans if: your group loves food, cocktails, live music and a city with genuine personality.
Maybe skip it if: the bride's dream weekend mostly involves a beach and lying next to a pool.
4. Austin, Texas
Austin is the friend who gets along with everybody.
One person wants live music. One wants cocktails. One wants to eat her way through the city. One wants to properly go out. And one has already announced she'll be back at the hotel by 10:30.
Austin can work with that.
The Vibe Is Fun Without Feeling Too Staged
This is where Austin differs from somewhere like Nashville.
You absolutely can go full bachelorette here, but the city doesn't require it. You can simply plan an excellent girls' weekend with good food, music and nightlife without every activity being designed around the fact that somebody is getting married.
For some brides, that's exactly what they want.
It's also a good option when your group has mixed energy levels because you're not choosing between “stay at the resort” and “club until 3am.” There are plenty of ways to build the weekend.
Choose Austin if: your bride likes food, live music and a fun but relatively laid-back weekend.
Maybe skip it if: she wants a polished beach, resort or luxury-girls-trip vibe.
5. New York City, New York
NYC is where we'd send the bride who says:
“I want a bachelorette, but I don't want it to feel too bachelorette-y.”
Perfect.
Go to New York.
You have rooftop cocktails, Broadway, comedy, jazz, shopping, spas, museums, incredible restaurants and enough nightlife options that two completely different brides could visit the same weekend and have almost nothing in common on their itineraries.

Why We'd Keep the Group Smaller
Could you bring 15 girls to Manhattan?
Yes.
Do we personally want to find you a Saturday dinner reservation for all 15?

New York is much easier with around four to eight people. You can fit around restaurant tables, split into a couple of cabs, get into smaller cocktail bars and change plans without holding what feels like a board meeting first.
But Isn't NYC Really Expensive?
It can be. Accommodation is usually the biggest hurdle.
But don't forget that you're sharing.
A $350 hotel room split between four people is $87.50 each per night before taxes and fees. Suddenly that looks very different from seeing “$350 a night” during your initial search and closing the tab in horror.
And NYC is one of those destinations where you don't need to pay for organized entertainment every three hours.
Walk around SoHo. Go to Central Park. Browse shops. Find pizza. Have a drink somewhere interesting. People-watch for longer than you'd like to admit.
That's already an afternoon.
Choose NYC if: your bride loves restaurants, cocktails, shopping, culture and having endless options.

6. Chicago, Illinois
Chicago deserves way more bachelorette attention than it gets.
You've got great restaurants, rooftops, comedy, waterfront activities, live music and enough different neighborhoods that the weekend can be as polished or as casual as your bride wants.

Miami is one of the places where we'd seriously look at making it happen.

9. Savannah, Georgia
Savannah is our budget-friendly winner, but that doesn't mean it feels like the consolation prize.
It's pretty, walkable and social, with restaurants, bars and enough to explore that you don't have to keep booking activities just to fill the weekend.
That's especially useful when you're trying to keep costs under control.
You Really Don't Need to Over-Plan Savannah
Friday: arrive, get settled, dinner and drinks.
Saturday: brunch, wander, one activity, get ready, proper dinner and bars.
Sunday: breakfast and a forensic examination of everyone's camera roll.
Done.
You don't need four ticketed activities and a color-coded schedule to have a memorable bachelorette.
Choose Savannah if: you want something cute, social and comparatively affordable.
Maybe skip it if: the bride wants giant nightclubs, pool parties or big-city energy.
10. Las Vegas, Nevada
Vegas can be surprisingly affordable.
Vegas can also be horrifyingly expensive.
Both statements are true.
You can split a reasonably priced hotel room, hang by the pool, grab casual food and see where the night takes you.
Or you can book a suite, dayclub, expensive dinner, show and bottle service and return home requiring a brief period of financial recovery.
Set the Budget Before You Arrive
This is probably our biggest Vegas tip.
Decide what everyone is comfortable spending before you're standing on the Strip.
Vegas has a remarkable ability to make spending $70 on something feel completely reasonable in the moment.
And No, You Don't Have to Club All Weekend
Your Vegas itinerary could just as easily be spa, pool, lunch, show, cocktails, dinner and bed at an almost respectable hour.
You can absolutely have a grown-up Vegas weekend.
Whether your friends allow that to happen is another matter.
Choose Vegas if: the group wants maximum entertainment and at least one very big night.
Maybe skip it if: crowds, casinos and clubbing sound like the bride's personal nightmare.

The best city is the one that fits your bride, group and budget.

We'd look particularly closely at Scottsdale and Nashville. Both work naturally with bigger celebratory groups, and Scottsdale especially gives you the option of making a large house part of the weekend.
If You Have Around 6–10 People
Honestly, you're in the sweet spot. Almost every destination on this list becomes workable, so you can choose much more heavily based on budget and what the bride wants to do.
If You Have Around 4–6 People
This is where we'd strongly consider NYC, Charleston, Miami or Chicago. A smaller group can squeeze into restaurants, cocktail bars and cabs far more easily and take advantage of the spontaneous side of a city weekend.
