You said you’d plan the hen. You didn’t necessarily mean spending every evening making things for it. Take a peek inside Hen Party in a Box, from the spreadsheets that help organise the money to the messages you’ve been putting off sending. There are lovely party extras waiting for you, too.
You said you’d plan the hen. You didn’t necessarily mean spending every evening making things for it.
At first, it sounds straightforward. Find out what she would love and get a date in the diary. Then someone asks about the budget. You realise you need invitations. And somewhere between choosing an activity and checking a booking, you’re looking for a game that won’t make half the room want to disappear.
We created Hen Party in a Box to give you a little more help with the whole thing. It brings planning guidance together with party downloads you can actually use, from the first decisions to the thank-you afterwards.
It’s a £50 digital kit, with two planning spreadsheets included. There’s help with the messages you need to send, too, alongside editable invitations and a generous collection of printable extras. Nothing physical is posted, and you can choose the pieces that suit your celebration.
Here’s a closer look inside.
Two planning spreadsheets, already included
The less glamorous part of planning a hen is often the part that needs the most attention. A lovely dinner plan still needs a workable price per person. And a deposit being paid doesn’t mean the whole booking is settled.
The kit includes both our Ultimate Hen Party Planning Spreadsheet and our Hen Party Planning Spreadsheet. These are also sold separately on our website, at £20 and £7.99 respectively.
The Ultimate version gives you a fuller planning system, with an overview dashboard and dedicated spaces for the practical details. The simpler spreadsheet covers the essentials, including a budget and guest payment tracker.
You don’t need to keep two spreadsheets up to date. Choose the one that feels right for the party you’re organising. Make your own copy in Google Sheets and use it as your working planner.
Having the figures in front of you makes it easier to see whether an idea fits the budget before you commit. It also gives you somewhere to record payments, so you aren’t relying on memory when a balance is due.

Before You Book: start with the questions that matter
It’s tempting to find a gorgeous house and work backwards from there. But before anyone pays a deposit, it helps to know whether the plan actually works for your bride and her guests.
Before You Book helps you work through those early conversations. The bride’s preferences get their own space, and the guest questions help you understand what people can comfortably spend.
For the messages you keep putting off
Asking everyone to pick a date is one thing. Asking someone about an overdue payment can take rather longer to type.
The kit includes copy-and-paste message templates for the conversations that come with organising a hen. There’s wording for the first invitation and date poll, with private budget checks to help you understand what guests can comfortably spend.
When it’s time to collect money, you have payment requests and gentle reminders ready to adapt. If someone can no longer come or the plan changes, there are messages to help explain the next steps clearly.
You’ll also find wording for asking someone to help, plus a final-details message to send before the celebration. Replace the bracketed details and adjust the tone so it sounds like you. You still decide what needs saying; you just don’t have to compose every message from scratch.
Booking emails that help you ask the right questions
The Booking Email Kit gives you 18 ready-written emails, each with a subject line. There are enquiries for accommodation and restaurants, as well as wording for booking activities and other suppliers.
The help continues once a quote arrives. Use the templates to clarify extra charges or follow up when you’re waiting for a reply. There’s also wording for changes to guest numbers and a final check-in before the party.
That can save you time at the keyboard. It also helps you get the details in writing before you commit, so an unclear quote is easier to question.
Two Weeks to Pull It Off: for the “right, we need a plan” moment
If the date is suddenly much closer than it was, this is the guide to open.
Two Weeks to Pull It Off gives you a 14-day countdown, with practical tasks to work through as the party approaches. You can see what needs attention today instead of staring at one enormous list.
Use the countdown around your actual arrangements. If a supplier needs payment sooner, bring that task forward. The aim is to help you make progress, without adding unnecessary jobs to a short timeline.
Planning your own hen? There’s a guide for you, too
You’re allowed to know exactly how you would like to celebrate. You’re also allowed to organise it yourself and still ask for help.
I’m Planning My Own Hen gives the bride room to think about what she would actually enjoy. It includes budget planning and prompts for shaping a celebration that feels comfortable for her.
Use it to get clear on your priorities before everyone starts offering ideas. And when there’s a job you’d happily hand over, you’ll have a clearer plan to share with the person helping.
There are ready-to-send messages written from the bride’s point of view, too. Use them to explain the cost or ask someone to be your point person on the day. There’s even wording for keeping the guest list as you intended, so you don’t have to invent a polite response on the spot.
Food and drink, without the last-minute trolley panic
A weekend away still needs breakfast. And a lovely evening in is much easier to enjoy when someone has thought about dinner.
The Food & Drink Planner includes brunch ideas and easy suppers you can build around the kitchen you have. There’s help with grazing spreads, plus worked quantity examples so you have a starting point for your shopping.
You’ll also find cocktail and mocktail recipes. Choose what suits your guests, then use the planning pages to work out what to buy.
Having a menu gives the shopping a purpose. You can check what you already have and buy for the meals you actually intend to serve, instead of adding more “just in case”.
Décor and setup plans: give the pretty things a purpose
A basket full of decorations isn’t quite the same as a plan for the room.
The décor and setup pages help you think through how the space will work, including the table and drinks area. You can decide where you want a little impact before buying supplies.
That might mean making one corner look lovely with items you already own. Or choosing a few details that work together, instead of adding something new every time you see another idea. The kit provides planning inspiration; physical decorations are separate.
Editable invitations that set the mood
The invitation is her party’s first little introduction. Give it a look that feels right for the celebration you’re planning.
The editable Canva invitations let you start with an existing design and add your own event details. The previews above show a few of the different styles, including a boarding-pass design for a trip away.
Instructions for personalising the templates are included. You can spend your time checking the details and choosing a design you love, without building the invitation from an empty page.
Printable games you can choose around your guests
A game should help the party along. It doesn’t need to take over the afternoon.
Let the Games Begin includes options such as Find Someone Who and This or That. They give guests something to join in with, especially when different friendship groups are meeting for the first time.
There’s also a Dirty Bach/Hen Game Pack for adult groups who would enjoy something cheekier. Choose what suits the people coming. There’s no obligation to use every game, and you can leave anything that doesn’t feel right for your bride.
Print your chosen pages as supplied, with enough copies for the way you want to play.
Something for the getting-ready time, too
Some of the nicest moments happen before you leave. Someone is finishing their hair while everyone else is deciding whether they need another photo.
The Getting Ready Conversation Cards give you prompts to bring out stories about the bride. Leave a few where everyone is sitting and let the conversation take its own direction.
Get the Shot adds photo challenges you can dip into during the celebration. Recreate an old picture with the bride or commit to your best imaginary girl-band album cover. It’s an easy way to get more photos together without arranging a formal shoot.

Stickers and favour tags for the little finishing touches
This is where a simple favour bag starts to feel like it belongs at her party.
The printable sticker sheets and favour tags offer different looks to choose from. Pick a design that suits the celebration and use it to finish the favours you’ve decided to give.
Print stickers on suitable adhesive paper, or use the designs as paper labels with your own adhesive. Tags can be printed on card and tied to a bag. You supply the materials and any gifts inside; the designs are already part of your download.
Drink markers with room for a name
Once the identical glasses appear, everyone becomes remarkably unsure which one was theirs.
The drink markers give guests a way to identify their drinks. Choose your favourite sheet and cut out the designs before the party, leaving the name spaces ready to fill in.
It’s a small detail, but it’s another printable you won’t need to design or purchase separately.
For the Bride, With Love: something she can come back to
After the party, it’s often the personal messages that mean the most.
For the Bride, With Love is a keepsake book with space for guests to share memories and write to the bride. The “Open when…” pages give them a way to leave a little encouragement for another day.
You could invite guests to fill in a page during a quieter moment, or arrange their contributions ahead of time. Add photos from the celebration afterwards to make it even more personal.
25 thank-you note designs for afterwards
When everyone has made the effort to celebrate, a little thank-you is a lovely way to finish.
The kit includes 25 thank-you note designs, with a selection shown above. Choose one that suits your party, print the copies you need and add a personal message if you wish.
You’ve already got the design waiting for you, so it doesn’t become another thing to find once the celebration is over.

Six party plans you can make your own
Let’s Plan Her Party includes six ready-made plans, each with a sample itinerary and example budget. There’s a starting point for an afternoon tea celebration, as well as an evening out. A cosy night in gets its own plan, too.
You can see how a celebration might fit together before making your own bookings. Adapt the timings to your group and replace the example costs with actual quotes.
Theme inspiration and destination guides
If you’re still deciding what her hen should feel like, the theme inspiration and destination guides give you ideas to explore. Use them to narrow the possibilities around what she would enjoy and what works for the people coming.
A printable planner, too
The Hen Party in a Box Planner sits alongside the digital spreadsheets. If you like having a printed planner to write in while you work through the arrangements, that option is included.
A couple of small extras you’ll be glad are there
Printable party awards
The party awards give you a little moment to add to the celebration. Pick the ones that suit your group and hand them out while everyone is together. It’s another party activity you can pull from the kit without designing something new.
Keep This Handy guest cards
These little cards are designed for guests to keep in their bags. Print them, fill in the details by hand and give one to each guest. You don’t need to open Canva to personalise them.

What makes Hen Party in a Box good value?
It’s easy to underestimate the cost of buying the little downloads individually. An invitation is one purchase. Later, you find a game you like. Then you still need something to help organise the money.
Hen Party in a Box brings those types of resources into one purchase. The clearest starting point is the two spreadsheets, because you can already buy them separately on our website.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Ultimate Hen Party Planning Spreadsheet, bought separately | £20 |
| Hen Party Planning Spreadsheet, bought separately | £7.99 |
| Both spreadsheets bought separately | £27.99 |
| Hen Party in a Box, including both spreadsheets | £50 |
Compared with buying both spreadsheets alone, another £22.01 gets you the rest of the kit. That includes the planning guides, along with the games and printable extras featured here.
The whole collection, for £50
Looking at the collection as a whole, our estimated individual values add up to £211.99. That includes both spreadsheets and the rest of the kit, so the spreadsheet value is already counted.
- Estimated individual value of the full collection
- £211.99
- Your price for the complete kit
- £50
£161.99 less than the estimated individual value.
This comparison uses our estimated individual values, including resources exclusive to the kit. It is not a total of current standalone selling prices.
That gives you room to choose what works for her without paying for another download each time you need a party detail. The invitations are there when you’re ready to send them. Later, you can pick games and finishing touches from the same collection.
The value also depends on what you’ll use. If you only need a spreadsheet, an individual planner may be enough. If you’re still looking for invitations and things to do at the party, having those included can help you avoid several separate purchases.
There’s time to consider, too. The message templates give you wording to work from when a reminder feels awkward. The booking emails help you ask what a quote includes before paying a deposit.
And the practical guides help turn ideas into decisions. A food plan gives your shopping list a purpose, while an example itinerary helps you work out how much you can comfortably fit into the day. Those quieter parts of the kit can be just as useful as the printables everyone sees at the party.
You don’t need to use every download to make the kit useful. Choose the pieces that earn their place in your plans, and print only what you need.
GBP prices checked 25 October 2026 and subject to change. Printing and materials cost extra.
A few things to know before you download
Is this a physical box?
No. Hen Party in a Box is a digital planning and celebration kit. No physical box or printed products will be posted. You receive the digital resources and arrange any printing yourself.
Do I need to edit everything in Canva?
No. The invitations are personalised in Canva, but the ready-to-print games and cards can be used as supplied. The planning spreadsheets work in Google Sheets, where you’ll need a Google account to make your own copies.
What paper sizes are included?
The printable PDFs are supplied in A4 and US Letter sizes. Follow the instructions for each item when choosing paper or cardstock.
Do I have to print all of it?
Not at all. Read the guides on screen if you prefer, and print the worksheets or party pieces you want to use. There’s no need to turn the whole kit into a printing project.
Can I use it if I’m the bride?
Absolutely. I’m Planning My Own Hen was included for exactly that reason. You can shape your own celebration and use the other resources wherever they help.
