Your planning bestie since 2012
Hey bestie. We’re The Hen Planner.
You want to give her a hen party she’ll love. Somewhere along the way, that seems to have become a rather large job.
That’s where we come in. A little help with the planning, and plenty of reasons to get excited about the weekend.
Where it all started
It started with a friend’s hen party.
Our founder was an Irish accountant working in London when she helped plan a friend’s hen party. She wanted it to feel like her friend, but finding ideas she actually wanted to use was harder than it should have been.
There was plenty of hen party stuff out there. Much of it just wasn’t what she had in mind.
That search became the starting point for The Hen Planner, which launched in March 2012. A place to find a good idea and think, yes, that sounds like her.
The early years
Growing between Ireland and the United Kingdom.
In those early years, The Hen Planner operated between Ireland and the United Kingdom. What began with one friend’s hen party became a place other brides and their friends could turn to.
The celebrations looked different, but the question was always the same: what would she love? That’s still where we start.
The next chapter
Now at home in New York and London.
The Hen Planner is now led from New York, with a London office. We’re carrying that original idea forward: helping you plan a celebration that feels like the bride.
And to our friends in the United Kingdom, don’t worry, you’re still very much at home here. Our London office keeps us connected, and we’re still your hen party planning bestie.
Maybe you’re the maid of honour with a very vague brief. Maybe you’re the bride and you’d rather plan it yourself. Either way, you’re welcome here.
If you need a hand choosing something or figuring out where to start, just ask. We’re happy to help.
We want you to enjoy this part, too.
Our goal is to make planning her hen party feel less like a second job. You should be able to find ideas that suit her and get the practical bits sorted without spending every evening searching.
As The Hen Planner grows, we’re creating more useful planning resources and building city guides that help you picture the weekend. We want you to feel confident about the plans you’ve made, and excited to celebrate with her.
Consider us your head start.
You don’t need to be an event planner. A clear checklist and a budget everyone agrees on are a very good start.
Someone always gets competitive.
A good game makes meeting the rest of the hens much less awkward. Expect a few stories the bride thought everyone had forgotten.
She’ll know you thought of her.
Those little bride moments deserve something special. Choose a piece you can already picture her wearing.
Come have a look
Shall we find her something?
Now, about that hen party…
Let’s make it feel like her.
A big night out isn’t every bride’s idea of a good time. Neither is a quiet weekend in. Start with what she’d love, and we’ll help you take it from there.
