COVID-19 has changed a lot of our plans. Events have been postponed, weddings cancelled and holidays have had to be rescheduled. With government guidance and regulation changing every week, hen parties have been delayed, postponed or even cancelled because of the pandemic.

Jenna
For some, it may have been a blessing in disguise. Jenna told us about how her plans for a ‘chilled’ hen party in a country house with 20 people, has been upgraded to a trip to Ibiza with seven of her friends in 2021.
“I decided to cancel the whole thing and start again! Was going to be chilled, UK country house kind of vibe with like 20 ppl but now 8 of us Ibiza 2021!!! Sod it we want to go all out now! When it was the original hen me and one of my bridesmaids went for a spa weekend just to mark the weekend!” – Jenna
Rochelle
Some of our brides haven’t been as fortunate as Jenna though. Rochelle told us about how her dream Hen Do to Marbella was cancelled in April, along with her wedding in May. She’s still staying optimistic though, and we hope Rochelle and her Maid of Honour get their dream trip to Marbella in 2021.
“….Marbella has always been the dream for me and my Maid of Honour as we have been going since we first met back in 2014….my bridal party is absolutely gutted and we are still uncertain as to what is going to happen next year.” – Rochelle
Kira
With government restrictions meaning that bars are closing earlier, and gatherings are currently reduced to six people, Kira has reorganised her Hen Do with a fun twist until she can have a proper get-together.
“I was supposed to be having my hen in Liverpool…there was 14 of us…instead I’ve hired a party bouncy castle for my back garden & i’ll have drinks with 5 people that day instead” – Kira

Our next bride Kate held a Zoom party on the date of her original Hen Do that’s been cancelled due to the government guidance on groups of six.
“Mine was cancelled last weekend with a weeks notice due to the new rule of 6. We managed to do a zoom Hen Do for a couple of hours.” – Kate
Mel
Mel has had both her wedding and Hen Do postponed during 2020, but her bridal party got creative and made the day of her cancelled Hen Do just as special.
“My hen weekend should have been on VE Day so I celebrated with my neighbours drinking on the street in the sunshine – my MOH delivered champagne breakfast to me on the Friday and planned a small zoom session…. my sister planned an evening meal from our wedding venue…and my mum helped to organise an afternoon tea. A group of friends planned a HEN themed quiz” – Mel
