Attention macaron lovers! World Macaron Day is coming to Dublin and The Natural Bakery are getting involved…
This 20th of March, the Jour du Macaron or Macaron Day will be celebrated for the 10th time. Created in Paris by the world-known pastry chef Pierre Hermé, this day is a celebration of the delicious and colourful macaron.
Cities such as New York, Toronto and Tokyo have joined the party, and this year, Dublin will also celebrate it. The Natural Bakery will pay homage to this delicate French confectionery by partnering with Focus Ireland in a day that will combine great flavour and a wonderful cause.
Visit any of The Natural Bakery shops (Donnybrook, Kilmainham, Rathmines, Ranelagh and Stillorgan) on March 20 and enjoy samples of fresh macarons made by the talented hands of their in-house French patissier. All proceeds from the macarons sold during this day will be donated to Focus Ireland, to aid them in their quest to end homelessness in Ireland.
If you want to be a part of the festivity, here are 3 simple ideas:
- Join the hashtag #MacaronDayDublin through social media and let the world know your love for macarons
- Take an assortment of macarons home and serve them for dessert or during an afternoon tea, and don’t forget to wish a Happy Macaron Day to your guests!
- Give a macaron as a present to a friend, co-worker or to anyone you like (yes, even to yourself), they’ll surely appreciate the sweet gesture.
