Tonight I tried out the new perfume making hen party activity with The Hen Collection. I must say, I’m quite impressed with my perfume skills and new little perfume just for me! I named my perfume Dolly 22 after my grandmother who passed away recently. I have some green tea in it so I think she would have been a fan of it too.
The class started off with some bubbles (of course) and then with an introduction into perfume and the history. This is really light with just enough information and no overkill. It was good to set the scene.
We then got sniffing the scents which took a good hour. There were 18 of them and I learned that the different smells are classified differently and are called notes. I don’t want to give away too much as surprise is all part of the fun. I will say however that I do highly recommend this activity for any ladies who are looking for something unique and different. I also think there is something particularly cool about having your own signature scent, just for you. No one will ever steal your scent again. Our instructor was rather dishy too!
Everyone gets to take home a small bottle of their creation. You also get to name your perfume and your recipe gets stored so you can order it again and again and again! The bride will get a large bottle to take home with her.
This class is €50pp and is currently available around Dublin and surrounding areas via The Hen Collection. See here for more details. The Hen Collection is a new selection of hen party activities around Ireland for those ladies looking for something unique and stylish.
