2014 hen parties have just kicked off and the hottest theme in Ireland right now is taking on the ultimate house host and ‘glamorous’ woman herself, Mrs Doyle from Father Ted. Read on to find out more. Go on go on go on go on.
From tea parties to lovely girls competitions, ladies are dropping the glam for ham sandwiches, headscarves, rosy cheeks and lashings of tea. We’re sure some of the girls have taken inspiration from Father Jack and added some naughty to the tea pot!
To run with this theme, ask the girls to dress up as Mrs Doyle or a lovely country girl. Think Granny’s outfit for the shops! You can keep it simple with a tea party or alternatively run a lovely girls competition.
If you want to immerse the party in Father Ted head to the house used for the set which is based in Co Clare. They run half day tours all year round for €25pp with a tour of the Father Ted house and other set locations. They provide props and fancy dress for the full Ted experience as well as a Lovely Girls contest.
This image is thanks to some fabulous ladies from Co Clare who henned it up in Kenmare, Co Kerry over the weekend. The delicious spread came from the lovely Mary at Cupan Tae on Henry Street. Thanks girls, you look only gorgeous x
