A pilates teacher says it’s always great having a bride to be in the class because it means everyone else works a bit harder! You can organise a bespoke class for your bride to be for any level whether she’s a power pilates fan or looking for a more chilled flow. All you need for a pilates session is some mats and a teacher so this is an activity you can organise for most venues and locations, and works especially well if you have a great space in your accommodation or a room with cool views. Wedding Stress hitting? You could treat your bride to a zen hen and have a yoga themed weekend. You could go all out and hire specialised venues like the Elbow Room escape in Wicklow, Ard Nahoo in Leitrim or the Boghill Ecolodge in Clare and organise a tailored yoga retreat for the gang and indulge in some massage or holistic therapies. Or you can organise a teacher to travel to your location and take your ladies through a yoga flow and choose whether total relaxation or a rejuvenating style is more in order for your crew. Raise the Barre
Before you hit the other bar, why not channel your inner Black Swan and organise a bridal barre class. This is perfect for a bride working on her big day booty or living out her ballerina dreams. Barre classes are a celebrity fave, and combine ballet inspired moves with pumping tunes. It’s also much more fun than a traditional ballet class. If you want to take your exercise in to the great outdoors, you could take in some hen hiking and really earn your cocktails. For the bicycle loving bride, why not organise a Tour De Hen? The Wild Atlantic Greenway or the Waterford Greenway are great locations for a scenic cycle with the crew. There are plenty of bicycle hire and drop off spots on either route, so you don’t need to worry about packing equipment (And have much more space to pack hen swag!!!) More importantly, both locations have lots of nice pubs with sea views for a prosecco pit stop! A guided bike tour can also be a great way to explore a new city on a destination hen or maybe visit some of your favourite old college haunts in more familiar surroundings.
