Looking for a very fun but stylish hen party theme? Hello glitzy 70s hen party theme!
This is a very cool hen party idea that all your guests will love. People can go as as glitz and as extra as they like. It is all about glitz, sparkle and being OTT. We have been inspired by Millie Mackintosh’s gorgeous 30th birthday celebrations and Sivan Ayla’s super cool 70s disco 30th birthday party theme.
Read below for some tips on making this work and some images for inspiration.
You can make cool 70s themed hen party work both indoors and outdoors. To pull off the Pinterest look, you need lots of flowers, rugs, blankets and cushions. The idea is to have everyone sitting down and chilling. If you can get your hands on some wooden pallets, these work great as a table. You might also have a low wooden coffee table you can use. To add the glitz, bring a bit of silver to the theme with balloons, a disco ball and sparkles. Disco ball cups (available on Amazon here) are the perfect touch. Just get one of Fairy lights and candles will add to the boho setting and these look great in the corners of the room or garden. A chair in the corner with a set up for the bride is perfect for photos and games.
A glitter bar is a cute addition to this hen party theme and can work as an activity. If you have the budget you can have an artist applying the glitter. If not, just let the guests free style. If you want to go all out 70s style, a trip to roller disco with everyone in this get up will be fun. Best to save the prosecco and expresso martinis for after the skating though ;) With every hen party we ALWAYS recommend a DIY Photo Booth and instax mini camera to get cute polaroid photos.
