Planning a hen party for a hen party group that includes mums, aunties, younger siblings or cousins? Here are 6 hen party ideas for ALL ages so that you keep all bases covered.
Fresh flower crown workshops
For all boho brides-to-be, this is our absolute favourite and most popular activity for 2016. This is your chance to create big, bold and beautiful fresh flower crowns with the brilliant Flower Show. Chill out during the workshop with a glass of bubbly, art influences and great music to get you in the mood. Workshops are 90 minutes long, cost £35 per person and take place in fantastic and quirky pop-up locations in Brighton and many other areas in Sussex. Or they can come to your hen accommodation nationwide. A perfect choice for festival-themed hens.
Zen hens yoga (maybe some prosecco, brunch or cocktails included!)
A relaxing yoga experience is one of the coolest hen party activities right now. Why? Because hen parties don’t have to be all crazy breakout rooms and dance classes. How it works? Stretch out, hang out and indulge together with day time or evening yoga, a prosecco brunch or supper of tasty, seasonal and organic food and a cocktail masterclass (optional) to get your party zoned in for the big night ahead! This Ultimate Zen Hen Experience sounds like the perfect mix. Oh, and this is yoga hen-do style! You’re guaranteed giggles as you work in pairs and groups to stretch and flex into fun yoga poses, whatever your fitness level. It’s also done to a unique playlist to match your hen’s music taste. Get your phones ready to catch fun group poses at the end of the class (hen hashtags at the ready girls!). Note, it’s best to have access to a suitably sized space — a swanky country cottage would be perfect for this. Or maybe try Aerial Yoga. This is a really cool way to get the good hen party vibes flowing.
Perfect for a Gatsby-themed hen, this creative workshop will help all your hens to bring out their inner milliner. You will create 1920s-style, beautiful, silk headbands and decorate them with a selection of embellishments – think feathers, sparkles and roses. The best thing is, these workshops will come to you. So, wherever you have chosen as your base, this bespoke activity is available to you at just £28 an hour. More details here.
Salsa dance experience
This is strictly for super stylish hens that are full of attitude. You can do this class with Dance Party Experience in London. During your Salsa class, expert choreographers will take you through your paces on the dancefloor before your night out has even begun. Get ready to swish those hips to diva tunes and feel fabulous, even if you have two left feet! These classes take place in lots of locations throughout the UK, but where could be cooler than the famous Pineapple Dance Studios in London’s Covent Garden.
If you want to add a touch of elegance to your hen party, life drawing is the perfect choice. The Nude Life experience is animated and light-hearted and the bride-to-be gets to play a starring role, picking the final of three poses by the model. The drawings will be a brilliant keepsake for all the girls and there’s also a goody bag for the bride included. These classes are priced at a budget-friendly £15 per hour. This might be a little too risque for all hen party ages so maybe suss it out with the older attendees first. Find out more here.
The little gin company want to shower you and your hens with the best-tasting gins in the world. And that is quite simply an offer we couldn’t resist including in this list. These cool cats kick off their gin tasting sessions with a welcome cocktail, to get the gin flowing (sounds perfect to us, let’s get the party started!) They then work through a delicious tasting sequence of artisan gins for guests to sample and enjoy, all in the comfort of your hen party house or venue. All gins on the tasting menu will be served as a tasting measure, with a splash of tonic (if you can’t handle the neat gin!). Enjoy a drink after all the tasting work. We like the sound of their rum experience also!
