Hi Jay from Tranquility House here....I would like to post a copy of an email I received from Rosie K, Dublin after their stay.....We had an excellent time!! The girls absolutely loved the house. Food was fab and everyone was delighted. The only recommendation I would make is to have a sign at the bottom of the road saying Tranquility this way...we all got a little bit lost...but thank you for everything we had a lovely weekend and the bride could not have been happier. I have recommended the house to everyone and I am sure you will get a few bookings out of it!...a group of girls from Manchester are already planning their next trip back!!

Omg just read the other review here. I have never come across such a badly disorganized business. 5 times I rang "Hugh" who manages this property. I was trying to book the house for a weekend. After each call he promise to phone me back but never did. On the forth phone call he told me that he had passed on my details to someone else and blamed them for not getting back to me. The then guaranteed me that he himself would phone me back the following day..... 3 days later and still no call. If this is the way they treat potential customers I feel sorry for anyone that has booked with them. If you are unlucky enough to have booked with them I would be double checking everything ( that is if you ever get a return call)

With absolutely no thanks to the owner of Tranquility House, Carlingford, my friend Lisa and all of her friends and family had the best hen weekend possible. I'd just like to inform anyone who is considering booking this house exactly what they are dealing with before doing so. My friend had booked this house for her hen weekend back in March, 7 months ago for a weekend in October and paid the deposit required. She had been in constant contact with the owner since and we were all set to head there last Friday morning and pay the balance owed. Everyone was very excited not in the least the bride to be who had gone to unthinkable planning for the weekend. Bags were packed and in the car, and Lisa called the owner to ask what time the keys could be collected. Only to discover that the house had been double booked by the owner! After about 15 minutes of complete and utter panic the owner called back and offered 2 houses in the centre of carlingford as an alternative, ensuring Lisa he felt just as bad as she did. I'm sure. However, when we arrived at the alternative substandard accomadation we discovered they did not have enough room to sleep everyone. Thankfully, the local minibus driver we had hired, recommended another house in the area, starboard house, that happened to be available and this turned out to be far superior to tranquility. Please take extreme caution if you are thinking about dealing with this guy. Even if you pay your deposit you may not be guaranteed the house and might not be as lucky as we were.
